Kubrick the Later Years: Part IV

Here we are, at the end. After all of that, what can we say about Kubrick as a filmmaker? For starters, he made movies that were like puzzles, often leaving you one last clue at the end to make you walk away from the film with a ton of questions about what you just saw. He also loved to juxtapose images of brutality with beautiful music. He was extremely complex and anyone who says they fully understand him as a filmmaker is full of shit.
